The Goal: Make organic search a viable SQL acquisition channel

The Solution: Leverage linkable assets to gain backlinks from heavy-hitting websites

Nectar’s internal linking would ensure the authority from these high-DR sites would be passed on to pages further down the funnel. This content would then be able to rank for high-intent searches from buyers who were ready to act. 

To build these links:

  1. We identified competitor sites and analyzed their backlink profiles. We then examined the content receiving the most backlinks to determine which assets perform best in the industry. 
  1. We reached out to our HR industry contacts to share relevant Nectar content. We also asked around to find out what pieces editors were working on, allowing us to recommend suitable Nectar content (and give the Nectar team a heads-up on the types of resources they could create).
  1. We began fresh outreach for publications where we didn’t already have contacts.  

The Results: From <1,000 average monthly visits to 40,000

Nectar went from zero demo bookings per month to over 50+ and increased monthly organic traffic by 3900%.
